Description

Summer History Camp is an exciting five day camp designed for children ages 7-12 to instill knowledge and appreciation for history through a variety of fun and educational experiences.  Come experience America through the eyes of the 28th President of the United States.  Campers will be transformed into present day investigators as they attempt to locate our hidden "Woody".  While searching, campers will explore Staunton in 1856, the Civil War era, the times of Mark Twain, and the sights and sounds of the 1912 election through activities, crafts, music and dancing.  All activities will be on site at the WWPL as well as various locations around Staunton, VA, all within walking distance of the museum and library.

New this year, two additional days of history camp fun!  Each five day session runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.-noon at the Presidential Library.  The $80 registration fee per child includes a camp shirt and daily snack.  For more information, please call the Museum Educator, at 540-885-0897 ext. 110 or e-mail  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
