Ask any girl who attended the Victorian Valentine’s Day Celebration on February 5, and invariably you get the same answer- it was great!! Both sessions of the event were completely full. During the program, girls ages 7-10 heard excerpts from “American Girl” books about American Girl character Samantha Parkington’s various adventures and activities.
The participating girls brought their favorite doll to celebrate Valentine’s Day. They created Valentine crafts, had a scavenger hunt, and attended a special Valentine Tea Party complete with spiced tea, scones, and cucumber sandwiches.
The rooms for the tea party had wonderful decorations including tea sets, vintage Valentines, and World War I postcards. The “Victorian Valentine’s Day Celebration” was not endorsed by, or affiliated with, American Girl Brands, L.L.C.
