Free parking is located behind the campus. Please refer to the map below for directions to the Admissions building.
Mobility Issues: To get from the parking lot to the Admissions building requires walking up several flights of stairs or walking up a steep sidewalk on either East Frederick or Beverley Street. Please take this into consideration when planning your trip to the Library & Museum. Visitors with mobility issues may be dropped off on Coalter Street where the Admissions building is located. For further assistance with mobility issues, please call (540) 885-0897.
Handicapped Parking: Handicapped parking is not located in the general parking lot, but off Coalter Street down the alley next to the Museum. Turn into the driveway directly in front of Museum near the Pierce-Arrow limousine display. One handicapped parking spot is immediately on the right. A second handicapped parking spot is just behind the Museum on the left.
Bus Parking: Please note that it is best not to use GPS due to the one-way streets in Staunton. The system often directs buses to the wrong side of the street for parking. Also, the Library & Museum is located in the Historic District of downtown Staunton. The roads can be very narrow and the two main streets in downtown are one-way streets. Buses and RVs should proceed with caution through Staunton to prevent damage to buildings and road structures. Due to size constraints, buses are not permitted to either drive through or park in our parking lot off of East Frederick Street. Please park in the designated bus spot in front of the Museum on Coalter Street. For more information or assistance, please call (540) 885-0897.
