The Hitchcock Gift Shop Dedication Tuesday, August 19 | 10:00 AM Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum
We're thrilled to invite you to witness history in the making! Join us as we officially rename our museum gift shop in honor of Martha Harris Hitchcock, a founding trustee whose vision helped create our institution in 1938.
Meet Our Special Guest: Neely Kountze, President of the Gilbert M. and Martha H. Hitchcock Foundation Board of Trustees, will be joining us for this momentous occasion. As Martha's great-nephew, he's continuing her incredible legacy of supporting meaningful causes.
Why This Matters: Martha Harris Hitchcock wasn't just any supporter—she was instrumental in founding what is now the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum. A close friend of First Lady Edith Bolling Wilson and wife of Senator Gilbert M. Hitchcock (a key advocate for Wilson's League of Nations), she helped preserve presidential history for future generations.
Special Event Perks: 20% off ALL purchases in the newly dedicated gift shop! Browse books, gifts, and local goods inspired by Wilson's legacy.
When & Where: Tuesday, August 19, 10:00 AM The Gift Shop (soon to be The Hitchcock Gift Shop!) Wilson Visitor Center, 230 East Frederick Street
This dedication ceremony celebrates not just Mrs. Hitchcock's legacy, but the power of vision, dedication, and community support in preserving our nation's history. Come be part of this special moment!
